A New Year, A New Change!

Happy New Year!!!!

I thought I would do something different this year. I love sketches and sketch challenges! Last year I learned to make sketches myself. my sketches have been in challenges over at Colorful Creations and at Paper Secrets. So I decided this year I would try to pump up these sketches a little bit more! So what that said... I will be posting sketches challenges over on the left side of my blog for the CC Sketch Blog, Paper Secrets and PaperDiva's Creative Corner --- all 3 of my FAVORITES.

So what am I going to do? I am going to give out a RAK to 1 person a month who does the following:

1. complete a challenge from one of the sites I have advertised on the left of the screen (PaperSecrets, CC Sketch Blog and PaperDiva's Creative Corner).
2. is a follower of my blog
3. leaves a comment below with the link to where your layout is posted for one of those challenges.

My Final Projects for The Sampler Kit

I am sad to announced that my 1 year term as a Design Team member for The Sampler Kit will be over at the end of the month. ;( I am sad to go... but I knwo the ladies will continue to give you great inspiration from their kits!

I was able to create two more layouts and a card with my December kit and wanted to share them with you all. This layout here --->

And this is a digital layout I made using Echo Park's Trick or Treat Digital Kit. The challenge was to find a double page layout in the Colorful Creations Gallery and lift it or find a single page layout and turn it into a double page layout. I picked a single layout by Jenessa ( love her work) and come up with this layout:

Today a new challenge has started over at Colorful Creations. The Monday Mixer's "Game On" is up! The challenge is to take the TIC TAC TOE board below and use three items in a row and create a layout.

The Sampler's October Kit is perfect for Fall photos so I used this kit to create my layout for the challenge:

Fabulous Fall Challenge

I wanted to share this layout with you all. I made this layout using the wonderful October Sampler Kit. The challenge was for Colorful Creations Fabulous Fall challenge. The challenge was to create a layout about your favorite thing(s) about the Fall. My kids and I love to visit the Pumpkin Patch and that is what I scrapped about.

The Sampler Kit came with American Craft Fabic Paper that I used to make these fabulous rosette flowers (flowers on the left and right).

I am looking foward to creating more projects with this kit! Stay tuned!

I only have one word for this month's The Sampler Kit - AWESOME! I dug into this kit and never put it down! The colors are amazing and the handmade embellishments add such a personal touch! Here are some projects I made with the kit-

These colors are so awesome that I used them for a

color combo challenge I hosted at Colorful Creations:

And I couldn't help but to make some beautiful cards with the MME Paper.

So you think you can Scrap?

Colorful Creations is hosting a "So you think you can Scrap" competition! Do you need to get pages done? Do you want a chance to win $30 to Part Time Sally? If so, this competition is for you!

How does it work?

Each week one of our fabulous Admin members will post a challenge and all of the participants who RSVPed during sign ups will have ONE week to complete the challenge. ALL entries must meet ALL the challenge rules. The following items will automatically get you eliminated from the competition:
Not completing the challenge as posted
Not completing the challenge by the due date
Not completing the challenge at all

As long as you adhere to the challenge rules you will automatically go on to the next round.
This event will start September 5th and run until we have only one scrapper standing. This is a WEEKLY event. New challenges will be posted each Monday and you will have until Friday, 11:45 PM EST, to complete the challenge. You must have your entry uploaded to our gallery in order to be eligible and it must be tagged. Each week when a new challenge is posted the host DT will post the tag you are to use when uploading your entry to the gallery. Remember, LATE ENTRIES WILL DISQUALIFY YOU!

On Sunday there will be a post that will list the names of those individuals who will be eligible to move to the next round that will start on Monday. This cycle will continue until we have only one scrapper left. The winner of this event will receive a 30.00 gift certificate to Part Time Sally courtesy of CC Admin staff.

Sign-ups end August 29th, no latecomers will be allowed!

May Sampler Kit - Mother's Day Gifts

Before I share with you the Mother's Day Album I made for my mother with May's Sampler Kit, I wanted to share this quick and easy wall hanger I made for myself for Mother's Day (LOL) -->

Got to love those Candy Gems from Prima!!!!

Ok, so for Mother's Day, I decided I wanted to make an album for my mother. I haven't made her one in years, so I though it was time for a new one! The 12x12 Canvas Sheet from Prima was perfect! I cut it up into four pieces, misted and attached them to an acrylic album (not included in kit).

Look at these yummy Vintage Trinket Baubles from Prima:

Here are the other pages in the album. My mother takes care of my nieces. So I had them write my mother a message of appreciation.

Most everything I used for both projects was from May's Sampler Kit or previous Sampler kits. That is what I love about these kits.... so usable!!!

April's Sampler Kit

What a variety in this month's The Sampler Kit! I love it. Look at this...

I created this lovely layout of my Niece Laylah. The Sampler kit includes some really great embellishments like the Teresa Collins Blingage and Prima's Iron Ons that add an excellent touch. But the item that got me excited was Sassafras' Foldies!!! Look at this:How great it that!!!! The flowers are die cuts that are connected together. So all you have to do is pop them out of the paper, fold the areas that say to fold and you're done! No more fussy cutting and layering!!!! It is all done for you! You got to love that! :) Now just to show you the variety of The Sampler's April kit, I went from a girlie layout to this:That's right! A camping layout! I had alot of fun making this page! Look how cute the American Crafts patches are: This kit has such variety that you will end up using everything that comes with it!!! A Way to Jump Start April!

For the past 2 weekends in a row I have had some fun online cropping to do! What a way to kick off April!

The first weekend in April, I participated in Papersecrets 2nd Birthday Bash! I had a wonderful time with the ladies! Here are some projects I did ----

Hello! My name is Rochelle Spears. After 15 years of Real Estate, I am currently a SAHM of 5 children (22, 17, 11,4, and 2) that knows how to pose when they see a camera! :) I am a wife to a wonderful husband who supports my craft to the fullest! I have been scrapbooking for 7 years and I just can't get enough of it! I love product... the smell of new paper... I love seeing the creation in my mind come alive on my paper! I love putting the final touches on my layouts and the biggest love of all... is watching my husband pull out my scrapbooks when guests come over! :) Besides my family and scrapbooking, you will find me traveling, reading or watching Netflix! I love coffee in the morning, Mt. Dew during the day and chocolate at night. :)
