Long Weekend :o)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I started off celebrating at the beginning of the week at my office where I participated in a secret santa exchange. My secret santa was really good to me! She bought me a box full of Distressed Stickles!! Woohoo!!! Here is our group shot...
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!! I sure did! I got everything I wanted... Santa was great to me! :) Here are some pictures of our Christmas~~~
LAYOUTS

I have had a chance to make a few layouts this weekend.
This is a Layout I did of my son. It was for the sketch challenge on http://socalscrap.us/.

This layout I did for the color combo challenge also on http://socalscrap.us/. The up close embellishment was lifted from a layout I saw in a older magazine (i think Jan 2008 issue of CK). I thought I would do something different then my normal flowers and bling! LOL

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL ON ICE
Yesterday, we took my extended family to go see High School Musical on Ice at the Anaheim Honda Center. It was a really great show. I really enjoyed it. We practically took up the whole suite. Here are some pictures

Happy Holidays everyone!!!

Some Christmas Crafty Stuff

Anyone who knows me knows that I don't like to do much altering, cards or projects. I am basically a LO kind of scrapper! But over the weekend I did get a little crafty.....

I finished this Tim Holtz tag on Saturday. I started it a couple of weeks ago at my friends house (see post a below). I added the Reindeer and other embellies Saturday and here is the results.

These are 3 of the 5 pails that I altered and filled with cookies for some co-workers. I forgot to take a picture of the other 2.

TFL! ;)

Christmas Party

So last Thursday I attended my Husband's Office Christmas party. I didn't attend last year so I thought I would make my appearance this year! LOL. I am just soo not into dressing up these days! I still have my baby fat from baby #5 (8 months old now) and really do not like the way I look in dresses! Anyway, we went... the dinner was really good and we took some cute pictures in the lounge area of the Grove. We had a great time hangin' out like we used to do before the babies. So last night we went out again!! LOL We had dinner and drinks at Don Jose's. My husband just loves--LOVES their Margarita's!! I had a Strawberry Daiquiri which was sooo yummy too! I should of taken some pictures but I forgot my camera!!!

That's it for now! :)

More Layouts

I attended SoCalScrap's (http://www.socalscrap.us/ ) crop on Saturday and completed some layouts! WooHoo!! Before I go into the layouts, I wanted to let you all know that I had a blast at the crop!! Robin made us some really cute name tags! Sorry I didn't take a picture of them but you can see them in the gallery (www.socalscrap.us/gallery ). We also got goodies bags, played a few games had an ornament contest and an awesome Make and Take!!! If you live in the SoCal area of Cali and haven't had the opportunity of attending a SoCalScrap crop, please do so! You will have tons of fun!
Ok, on to the layouts...

This layout I made for the December Layout Contest that I host on http://www.socalscrap.us/ . The challenge was to make a handmade flower without any tools or tracing. I got my inspiration from a video on Youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqV6ebNzpe8).
Here is the flower up close:
This layout was from a Recipe from The Scrap Room, which I subscribe to.

This Layout I lifted from a very talented SoCalScrapper, Nancy Dare. Here is her gallery - http://www.socalscrap.us/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=102 .
This Layout is for a sketch challenge on http://www.inspiredblueprints.com/

That's it for now. Not sure when I will be back here bloggin' because I need to finish up xmas shopping!!!

Look at What I Did Today!!!!!

Today I spent the day with my friend Gen who is a total Tim Holtz fan. I mean really, she thinks she is married to him!! LOL Anyway, this girl has every Tim Holtz item you can think of!!! Every color ink pad, alcohol ink, etc! So we spent today making some of Tim Holtz tags from his 12 days of Christmas (http://www.timholtz.typepad.com/). Here are my tags...

This is day 7 tag. I just did the first few steps. I am not done. I have to add the Reindeer and all the fixings! But I just love how it looks and had to show it!!
Not Sure what week this was, and I am not really happy with it, but it was my first TAG and my first time playing with this Alcohol Inks.
And my ULTIMATE favorite tag--- Day 5! Love how this came out!

Western Band Wins 2nd Place

Woohoo to Western Marching Band! My daughter's school won 2nd place this year in the So.California School Band & Orchestra Association - Field Championships. The competition was held in Corona on Saturday and I was so happy that I was able to make it without being late!

When we got back, hubby went to go watch the fight with friends and the kids and I put up our xmas tree and decorations. (not sure why it looks so red!! Gen and Renee-- help me work my camera!!! LOL) Nothing special this year.... I didn't feel like searching for my Gold & Burgundy theme. I think next year I will go with the Silver and Brown! Ohhh!! I saw it at Target today and I think it really looks nice! Anyway, here is my plain-jane Xmas Tree (LOL) -
I didn't want the tree to look so empty, so I wrapped some presents and put them under the tree. Here is a picture of my son trying to help me wrap!
Lastly, I just couldn't go a weekend without touching my paper! :) Here is a LO I did for the Sketch Challenge on http://inspiredblueprints.typepad.com/inspired_blueprints/ (week #5 Sketch)

My Free Friday...

So yesterday was my Friday Free Day. I had planned to put up my Christmas Tree, but I didn't have any of my Boys home to help me get the stuff out. So instead, I scrapped! Woohooo!! Here's a couple of layotus I did:

MORE LAYOUTS!

I just wanted to post some recent layouts!

This layout was done last Friday for "Friday's Happy Hour" hosted by Kristi B. on http://www.socalscrap.us/ . If you haven't experienced Friday's Happy Hour, you need to! It's really cool. Kristi has different projects, all which can be completed in 1 hour or less! This layout was completed in 30 minutes (without the journaling):
This layout was inspired by a sketch from Julie Bonner http://juliebonner.typepad.com/52_sketches_52_weeks/2008/12/sketch-challenge-week-48.html. If you haven't checked out her blog, you need to!! She had a sketch challenge every week! This sketch was a couple of weeks ago. As you can tell, I didn't make the deadline.

I love http://www.pagemaps.com/ . This LO was from one of her sketches:
This layout was from a Recipe from www.scrap-room.com, where I subscribe to their kits.

And the last layout I will share today is one I did of my Daughter, Victoria.

Thanks for taking time and viewing my layouts! :)

BUSY WEEKEND!

Boy was my weekend busy! It started off with my free Friday! I didn't have much to do. Most of my Scrap buddies where all getting ready to go to the Prima class that I decided to pass on because I wanted to spend some time with my hubby. So i decided to go to Strictly Scrapbooking in Torrance, where they are having a 40% off due to going out of business. Yes... very sad!!! Another LSS going out of business. Anyway, I bumped into a scrapbook buddy, Nancy. It was fun. We shopped together and tried to convince each other that we didn't "need" that item! lol I ended up leaving there with tons of stuff... Prima flowers, Bling, Felt and 12x12 Chipboard Die Cut, AC Thickers, tons of Cardstock and so much more. After Strictly's, I met up with another scrapbook Buddy, Gen. We had lunch and she was nice enough to offer to pick some goodies up for me at the Prima class (Woohoo! Got some really good stuff too!!! Thanks Gen!!!) Later that evening, I spent time with my hubby. :)

Saturday, Hubby and I were suppose to go to Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles and then downtown LA and lastly spend the day with his parents. However, I forgot about my daughters Marching Band Competition (yikes!! bad MOM!!) So we rushed over there and .... :( We missed her Band by 20 mins! Bummer!!! Anyway, left and spent the rest of the day at his parents house. The best part came when I got home! I pulled an all nighter (ok... maybe not all night, but damn! 2am is an all nighter to me! LOL) in my scrap area and completed the following pages:

This LO is for the color challenge on http://socalscrap.us/

This LO is for a Challenge from Elsie Flannigan's 52 week Challenge book. It's challenge #17 "Scrapbook an Alphabetical Approach". I actually scraplifted Elsie's example.

This LO is another Challenge from Elsie's book. It is challenge #19 "Scrapbook an Layout Shape". I lifted this from a LO I saw on the Fancy Pants website.
I am not really happy with any of these layouts. I think I may have lost my MOJO !!! Maybe I need a few days off and then return refreshed.

So Sunday we took the 3 youngest children (and my daughters friend) t0 Knotts Berry Farm. Here are some pictures....

Needless to say, we returned home exhausted! Well that's the weekend... on to work tomorrow.

Thanks for looking! :)

USHER AND SOME OTHER LAYOUTS

OOOO USHER!!!
So last night I went to go see Usher with my good friend Jamie!! He performed at the new Club Nokia in Dowtown LA. I had so much fun. The music was good, Usher performed well.... However, I don't know why but my lust for him before the concert has somewhat disappeared! OH well! I still like his music, just not sure I am sprung like I used to be. Here are some pictures I snapped before Security caught me! LOL

Oh I can't wait to do my layout!!! :)

MORE LAYOUTS!!!

Ok, here are the other layouts I did for the Shabby Chic Challenge:

This Challenge was to do a layout that starts with "I Scrap Because...."

This Challenge was to use 15 pieces of pattern paper!
I am sooo loving the Donna Salazar Flower's!!!
Thanks for Looking!!
