Fun Stuff with Linnie Blooms Mixed Media Products! :)

Hello Crafters!

As you all may know. or at least figured out by now is that creating layouts is what I do most and what I am avid about. :) But I do have a fascination with mixed media and I do dibble and dabble in it on my layouts from time to time.  I love altered art and art journal books and would love to play around with this stuff more often.

What I want to share with you all today, is some of my favorite projects I did for Linnie Blooms when I was on the Design Team.

Linnie Blooms is a manufacturer for canvas products.  LinnieBlooms is known for using recycled book paper sewn in between the canvas.  This is great for stability and for adding stitching without having to sew!  :)   I  was lucky enough to work the LinnieBlooms  booth at CHA in January and was uber excited about the new products that were displayed at the booth... as well as the new products that will be coming soon!!  Below are some projects I created with Linnie Blooms products:
This is my favorite creation using the 12x12 stitched canvas page.  I also used from Linnie Blooms  mesh to make the bow, canvas birdie, canvas leaves, and canvas triangle.  Super fun right!!! :)
I loved creating this piece!  The recycled paper sewn in between the 12x12 canvas makes this layout very strudy.  Here are some close ups on the different canvas pieces used:

This is a Long Blank Canvas. The flowers and leaves are also Linnie Blooms:

Here’s a Bingo Mini Album that I altered with a Linnie blooms  canvas square birdie and leaves.

And the last project I want to share with you is how I add the canvas pieces to a traditional scrapbook layout.  Here I used LinnieBlooms canvas stars:

If you love playing in mixed media I totally recommend trying out some of Linnie Blooms canvas pieces.  Please visit Linnie Blooms STORE to see all the lovely canvas pieces and also visit the Linnie Bloom BLOG  for some awesome inspiration from the Design Team!

Linnie Bloom's 12x12 Canvas Layout

Hello Crafters!

Today is a good day!  It's actually my birthday! Woohoo!! :) I am 43 today and I'm very thankful for alot but first and foremost, I am thankful for another year of life.  And to celebrate, Hubby is taking me out to dinner and a movie, if we can stay up that late! LOL

But before I start to celebrate my birthday, I wanted to share with you a 12x12 canvas layout I made with Linnie Bloom's Canvas products.
I had so much fun creating this layout!  I played around with some mixed media to create a textured background on the canvas and love how it came out!  I also used different Linnie Bloom's canvas pieces throughout the layout. Here are some close ups:

Bye Bye 2013, Hello 2014!

2013 has been a very wonderful scrappy year for me! Here are a few of my unforgettable scrappy moments of 2013:

~ I was on my first manufacturer Design Team - GCD Studios
~ I became co-owner of a challenge blog with one of my besties, Brenda R. - Scrap Our Stash

~ I was published in a printed magazine - Scrapbook & Cards.

~ I was published a couple of times in an online magazine - Life. Paper. Scrapbook.
~ I have been fortunate to design for not one, but two of my favorite Kit clubs - Back Porch Memories and The ScrapRoom
~ I went to CHA not once, but TWICE this year! :) - Thank you Paper Secrets
~ My dream home was built & my new neighbor is a passionate crafter like me! - Lisa

~ I went to TWO Sistah's Scrappin' Retreats - Thank you Patricia
~ Lastly, I have met some very awesome crafters this past year and I wish I could name them all here but I am afraid I will miss someone and I don't want to do that.  I am so thankful and blessed to have such wonderful inspiration surrounding me! :)

So I will leave 2013 with my last blog post featuring Linnie Blooms Canvas Blank that I altered:

This is a 5"x12” canvas blank I altered with Gelatos.  I also used Linnie Blooms Canvas Stars and tired something different. I used Rangers embossing powder to embossed the stars and I really like how the texture came out!

To all of my scrap friends and faithful followers, thank you for your support and I wish you all a very safe and happy New Year!

Love, Peace and Scrap! :)
