SoCalScrap.us Top Scrapper

SoCalScrap.us is looking for strong, innovative paper craft designers.

For the next 4 weeks, you will be asked to do a variety of tasks. SoCalScrap.us members will vote on your abilities.

1. Challenge 1: Host a contest with a prize provided by SoCalScrap.us.
2. Challenge 2: Host a challenge with a prize provided by SoCalScrap.us.
3. Challenge 3: Create a layout from specific products available at the SoCalScrap.us store. Products do NOT have to be purchased through SoCalScrap.us.
4. Challenge 4: Create an altered item using product available at the SoCalScrap.us store. Products do NOT have to be purchased through SoCalScrap.us.
5. Challenge 5: Write a product review.
6. Challenge 6: Teach a technique in the forums.
7. Challenge 7: Q & A about yourself

The top 4 winners decided by votes will be asked to be a part of the SoCalScap.us Design Team.

As part of the SoCalScrap.us design team you will be expected to do the following:

• Create 2 Layouts, 1 card and 1 altered project a month, or 4 projects equivalent using products from our store http://www.socalscrap.us/.

• Chose one of your projects to include a material list and step by step instructions.

• Register and be active in the forums. Do you best to post at least 3 comments a day.

• Register in the gallery. Post your creations in your gallery and post positive comments on other’s galleries.

• Participate as a Cyber Crop team member. You may be asked to host a game, a challenge, teach a class, etc.

• Choose an outside source to post our SoCalScrap.us blinkie/link where you can post a monthly SoCalScrap.us update (blog, scrap ads site, myspace.....)

• Post a SoCalScrap.us DesignTeam Blinkie in your signature where ever possible.

• Create a 12" x 12" Bio Layout. Due by the end of April.This layout should have some journaling in it that tells a bit about yourself, your scrapbooking history/experience and how you heard about SoCalScrap. Be sure to have a picture of yourself in the layout. This layout will be posted on our home page.

This position has a six (6) month commitment. In exchange for these duties, you will receive a $20.00 SoCalScrap.us gift certificate OR a 40% discount during my term on all SCS orders as agreed upon with SCS owners. Please let us know which way you prefer to be compensated at the time of accepting this position.

I participated in a Stash Challenge on http://www.socalscrap.us/. Every week for 10 weeks we were given 5 items (which we only had to use 3) to use on a layout. 3D/4D ultrasound

Today I spent the day with my best friend Bonnie who is also pregnant. She is about 2 weeks ahead of me! We took pictures first, the went to lunch and then to our appointment for a 3D/4D ultrasound. We had tons of fun! Here are some of the pictures from the ultrasound:

SOCALSCRAP CHALLENGE

On Saturday I attended another SoCalScrap.us crop and had tons of fun!!! I was able to complete a few layouts. This one here is for the LAST SCRAPPER STANDING challenge due 2/11/08. The challenge was to scrap something that you can get from the local Hardware Store. So I went to Lowes and got some paint samples.

My Birthday!

So for my birthday... the lovely http://www.socalscrap.us/ girls took me and Robin (another SoCalScrapper) out on Saturday for our Birthdays! We had tons of fun. We went to 4 different LSS, we had lunch, Kari made delicious CupCakes and Stayce made this wonderful page kit for us:

SOCALSCRAP LAYOUT CONTEST!

Monthly Home Page Layout Contest - FEBRUARY

Do you want your LAYOUT posted on the home page of http://www.socalscrap.us/ and SoCalScrap.blogspot.com?

Every month Kristi & I will be hosting a monthly layout contest. Every month will have a different theme. After all the layouts are submitted, everyone will get a chance to vote for the favorite submitted LAYOUT. The winner will get their LAYOUT posted on the home page, SoCalScrap Blog, a small RAK from me – and of course – bragging rights!

This months theme will be LOVE. Anything to do with love.... who you love, what does love mean, etc.

The rules are the same as usual: 1) 1 layout per person 2) New layout only 3) 8x8 size or larger only 4) Scraplifting is OK 5) The submitted layout can not be used to fulfill another contest or challenge. 6) Post a copy of the LAYOUT here http://www.socalscrap.us/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1981 and here http://www.socalscrap.us/gallery/index.php 7) The Layout has to fulfill the theme for that month 8. **NEW RULE** When you post your layout here, please name your layout. A BOY!!!

Ok, so today i am 18 1/2 weeks pregnant. I had my ultrasound on Monday and it revealed that we are having a boy!!!! We are so excited! After 3 girls in a row, we were hoping for another boy (my oldest is a boy). Here is a picture of the ultrasound:

My First Posting!!

Hello all!! I had made this blogspot a while ago, but never really finished it. So tonight, thanks to my good friend Kristi (devosmommy), I have decided to try to blog on a regular basis.





So today I am 14 1/2 weeks pregnant! I am here actually laying in my bed and as I am typing... i felt my baby move!! It is really exciting!! Lately I have been feeling "flutters", but right now, i actually felt a little bit more!! woohooo!!!

Also, I have just come back from a family cruise last week. It was really awesome! I had 51 family members (including a few friends) come along and we had a ball! The grown ups had fun in the Casino, partying in the late night clubs and just hanging out. The kids enjoyed each others company, the pool (and water slide) and the day trips to Catalina and Ensadana. And of course, we all ate way too much!!! Here is a picture of the group...


Well that is it for know. I hope to find time in the next few days to get some layouts down of the cruise!!
