I am tired! I have been sitting here recuperating from a small crop I attended today. It is always great to get together with my scrap buddies and chat, eat, laugh and of course SCRAP! Thank you Gen for hosting! Her are the layouts I made today.

Also, I wanted to share this picture of my son Ryan! He is growing up soo fast! He is now 5 months. I love this picture because it is a clear definition of his peronsality.

Donna Salazar Class!!

Saturday I took Donna Salazar's (http://donnasalazar.typepad.com/) class she gave at A-Z Scrapbooking in Torrance, Ca. It was an awesome class! I love the whole "buffet" style classes she gives. If you haven't had a chance to go to one of her classes, you are missing out! She has a table of all kinds of embelliments that are there for you to use. Love it!

The class I took was a MME layout class. I walked away with 3 layouts and a lot of left overs AND won a great prize - MME Laundry Line embellishments!

Here are the layouts I made:

My Vegas Trip

Ok... I finally got a chance to scrap my Vegas trip! I even forgot to blog about how much fun we had! Well lets see... I got to buy my first Coach bag! That was a big deal! LOL We went to see Zumanity, which I thought was just an OK show, but funny. We ate at the YUMMY Rio Seafood Buffet and most importantly I learned to play Craps! LOL We had a great time! Here are my layouts....

And this is the Roulette wheel close up so you can see the "Crackle" affect. Some of my Scrapbook Buddies know how hard it's been to get this effect to work for me! :)

A DATE WITH HUBBY

I had such a great time on Saturday! My hubby took me on a date. It's so fun to still date after marriage. :) Getting dressed up, putting on makeup, smelling good, just feeling and looking nice and sexy for your hubby is a great feeling!

Anyway, we had planned to go to dinner first, but the USC game blocked that! We left later than we had planned and headed to meet up with one of my BFF's Jamie and her hubby Andre. We meet up at the Brea Improv and saw DL Hughley perform. He was hilarious! The comedian's before him were also very very funny!! We hung out for a minute and then walked across the street to the movie theater and saw "The Family that Preys". We had such a great time! With 5 children (ranging from 19 years old to 5 months old) we need a break every once in a while!!!!

Sunday, I enjoyed sleeping in, napping in the afternoon and cooking dinner for my family (beef stew--- Yummy!!!). I also got a couple of hours to scrap and made this layout for a STASH challenge on http://www.socalscrap.us/. This is a picture of my mother embracing her 17th grandchild!!

It took me so long to figure this out! LOL... but i finally created a new header. Woohooo!!! I choose this picture because it represents me, how I feel.... happy, fun and carefree! My hubby took this picture of me on our honeymoon in Kuaui in 2005. It makes me smile every time I see it. :)

Great Day Saturday!!!! :o)

I just love when I come back from such an awesome crop!! I had such a great time at Gen's crop on Saturday that I am dead tired today! LOL Thank you Gen for hosting. Lets see, Gen's crop had everything. She had a table full of tools for use to us.... from a Big Bite Cropadile to a laptop and printer! So I "thought" I would not have to pack so much, but dang.... I am always overpacking. When I got there, she had 6ft tables for each of us with a little box of candy. She also had fun activities with super prizes.

After we all spent a little time catching up and scrapping a bit, we all went on a lunch field trip. First we went to the Fabric Barn and got some yummy ribbon!! Then, we went to the very popular Marukai and got some very useful containers and rings to organize our scrapbook supplies. We finished our field trip with a delicious meal from Daltons.

Later, we went back to Gen's and got our scrap on!!! Maria and Gen hooked up a home cooked dinner -- Barbacoa with rice and beans. We played an inventory game and Araseli beat Eileen (Nellie :0)) out of the prize by being a second quicker! We also had a bilingual layout challenge and thanks to the ladies helping me, I was able to participate. All the layouts looked awesome! Maria was the lucky winner. Congrats Maria!!

Well I think that was it. I ended up going home really late, but 4 layouts later! WoooHooo!!

Here are 3 of my layouts from Saturday. One is missing because I need to fix it up a bit before posting! :)

Labor Day Weekend

This weekend I was able to do the 2 most important things that I love ---- spending time with family and scrapbooking!! Yes! My hubby BBQ'd on Sunday (so that we could just relax on Monday) and my mother and nieces came over. My son, his girlfriend and my older Niece, Jessica, was here too. We spent the day scrapbooking, listening to music, and smelling the yummy aroma of my hubby's BBQ. Here is a group shot of the kids:

Also, here are the layouts I was able to get done:

Now, I have to start packing up for next weekend's crop at Gen house! Woo Hoo!
