Paper Secret's SYAO challenge consists of 3 parts:

1) use this sketch: (PageMaps)

2) Pick 4 out of 8 products from a list provided. I used Pinwheels, tickets, chipboard, and twine.  

3) Lastly, one technique from a list.  I picked mist. I misted the white cardstock with light blue.  It's really hard to see, so here is a close up photo and enhanced to show the light misting:

This month is flying by!!! I was finally able to complete a few challenges since I have been back from vacation.  Although my mojo may still be on vacation! lol!!! Here's what I did:

Paper Secret's SYAO #28

I'm a little rusty since I haven't scrapped in over a week, but here is my layout for SYAO#28...

I used seven items off the list: butterflies, banner, ticket, twine, 3 PP, staples and a pin.  I also used a border punch and distressed the edges for the technique.

Back from Vacation and Challenge Reminder

I am back from vacation and ready to scrap! :)   I  had a wonderful time visiting my sister.  I did alot of stuff.... from a baseball game, Gardens of Gods, shopping at Archivers (woohoo!!) and the highlight was adding to our family....

Introducing... Rocky!!!  

Rocky is 10 weeks old.  He is a "Silkese" (Silky Terrier/Maltese hybrid).  We bought him in Colorado while on vacation.  I can't wait to scrap this photo!!! :)

August Challenge  - Layered Embellishment

For this challenge, you are to create your own layered embellishment.  Oh, and there is a catch! :)   You must use AT LEAST 3 items from this list:

• Tape (any kind - wash, cotton, etc)
• Doily
• Twine
• Chipboard
• Stickers
• Buttons 
• Metal

Here's my layout:

  Here's a close up on the layered embellishment I did.

 I used Chipboard under the flower and also the star on top of the flower. I also used bright colors and used a pin with a clear star for a challenge over at Scrap-Friendzy.
