The design team was challenged to create a layout inspired by our choice of one of three sketches and our choice of alphas (stash items) to include on our layouts.

Here is my layout inspired by Sketch #2 and using stash items: C & D (Chevrons  & Doily).

Happy Hopping!!

Thank You Card with Linnie Blooms Canvas Bird Shapes!

I am so in love with the Linnie Blooms Canvas Bird Shapes! I thought I would add one to a Thank you card I created and it looks wonderful! Take a look:

For this bird I used acrylic paint first.  Then I added Tattered Angels Glaze for a shimmer look.  I then stamped the bird with Versafine Ink.  Then I used a Linnie Blooms leaf shape for the wing.  I added the acrylic paint, topped it with a bit of white to lighten it up and then the glaze for shimmer.  That’s it!

Paper Secrets Sept Sketch w/ Twist Challenge!

Have you seen the new Paper Secrets Sketch with Twist Challenge?  It's a fabulous sketch by our very own DT Kelly Holifield! Here's the sketch:

and here is my layout:

I used BasicGrey Hey Boy Collection with a mix of BG Hey You embellishments. I also used Washi Tape, Twine and Wood Veneers from the Paper Secret Store.  The twist is to use an embossing folder. I used it on the tag and the circle under the "totally Awesome" sticker.
