31 Layouts in October?

That was our challenge this month with Sisterhood of Scrap. We challenged ourselves to do 31 layouts for October. I am having a great time with this challenge and doing very well. However, I don't think I will make it! Here are my latest layouts #20 and #21 (out of 31) -->

I am 10 layouts behind and 4 days left and will not be able to scrap 3 of those 4 days. :(

I don't think I am going to make the challenge, but I did complete ALOT of layouts! :)

Got a Few Done....

Yup! I was able to get a few layouts done during my crazy busy weekend. I was busy with football game, band competition, shopping for trip... not to mention mantaining the househ0ld duties too!! BUT, I couldn't stay away from my scrap room!! So here we go....

I have been dying to use this paper by Prima. I have seen so many layouts that were just phenomenal that I just didn't want to mess it up! But I found a sketch from The Scrappiest (#86) that inspired me to use it -->

This Layout is for a new challenge blog called Get Picky. This is inspired by sketch #1 -->

This layout here is for Scrapbook Challenges sketch #223. I realized it looks alot like another LO i did a few months ago... I think its because I used the other half of the Webster Pages Die Cut paper! -->

SOS Slumber Party Layouts

Sisterhood of Scrap had some very fun games and challenges throughout their online Slumber Party last weekend. I had alot of fun playing along with them.... I even won the Word Search game and the RAK game! Here are the challenges I did during the slumber party....

The first challenge was to do a layout of your BFF-->
Since boys are usually talked about during slumber parties, The challenge was to make a layout with 3 photos and just boys-->


What is a slumber party without Giggles? This challenge was do make a card using "inches" and the word Giggle-->

The next challenge was to create a layout with homemade flowers and use feathers-->
The last challenge I participated in was a layout about a THING we could not live without. Mine was Mt. Dew :) --->

Lastly, this layout isn't to any challenges. Honestly, it was off a sketch that I "tried" to make. LOL I realized later it was almost exactly like the last sketch I made. I guess I have to get a little more creative!! LOL

Paper Secrets Challenges and Others

Paper Secrets has some super fun October challenges! I couldn't wait to dig into it.

1) Technique Challenge - this challenge was to use some misting. Here, I used Glimmer Mist and topped it with Maya's Iridescent mist on the flowers.

2) Sketch Challenge - The sketch is from Pagemaps.com:

3) Mfg. Challenge - This challenge was to use MME products. (by the way, if you read yesterday's post, this was one of my disaster layouts!)

This Layout is also based on a sketch from Inspired Blueprints.

URGHHHH!!!

I never post my frustrations, but I have had one of those days when every LO I have done, I messed up! I know there is "no" mistakes in scrapping... but when you spell the title wrong.. and outline it in pen... ummmm... It's kind of hard to fix it! Even when I did, it still was a sucky layout to me. Oh don't let me forget the original LO took me forever because my sewing machine was acting up and I decided to try to fix it myself! I ended up with three different stitches (one with no thread)! Anyway, The original was soo much better. (I will post a picture of it when the paint drys! LOL)

Or what about when you are almost down with a layout and realized that the main page is upside down, when you have already stamp on the layout? Yup, that was last night, after i broke my glass mat!

SOS Monday Challenge

Sisterhood of Scrap (SOS) 's Monday Challenge ----

"Let's get "Back to the Basics". To the days when there where very few Patterned Papers and embellishments for our Scrapbook Pages.The challenge for you, is to create a lo using no PP only cardstock!You may use any hardware you would like, ribbon or fibers.Any flowers or other embellishments must not be premade. You may use stamps to help you along" Challenge here

Do you know how that was? LOL It was extremely hard for me, however, it did make me go through my stuff and use items that I have not in a while! So this was a great challenge

So NO Patterned Paper! Just American Craft cardstock, Glimmer Mist and Tattered Angels mask. I also used my Cricut for the title (instead of always using Thickers!), I made the flower with 3 different ribbon/lace that I had. For the hearts, I punched, stamped, inked and misted.

What a challenge!!!
